Sunday, December 6th, 2009“This commercial was shot back in 1997 by Alastair Thain using a still camera! It was the first time a stills camera had ever been used to shoot “moving images”. More than 200 rolls of 35mm film were developed for the commercial, in rolls of 36 shots each. These were spliced, graded for colour and edited. Written by Dave Bell. Art Directed by Jim Bucktin.”

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009this is the homies from san diego, SUGARRUSH RAILROAD INC. this was a short lived band that i never got see to play, but they made some epic recordings. tj duckets included one of their songs in his last podcast. josh is now a cook on a trophy winning yacht, rob installs security systems in expensive homes all over the country, i havent met jay. i didnt think their band existed anymore, but they just added me on myspace so lets hope they are! check out the music..

Saturday, September 5th, 2009this video here by australian nick fogarty has been making rounds all over the internet lately. so much so that it made the front page of vimeo, crazy huh. im re-posting because there is zero information about it. anyways, ill just list some fun facts: the footage was shot in 2006. it wasnt edited till 2008. they spelled ted’s name wrong. we were prepping for our show at steven wolf fine arts gallery. boogie, maddux, and goto had an opening at upper playground gallery at the exact same time which is why youll notice 2 different gallery settings. i was super busy and flaking which is why theres no audio of me. it was all shot on 16mm. i really dunked that basketball. and that bird really attacked stefan. i think nick did a great job.
im posting this because its more up to date. this was filmed early 2008 last year as our hardcover book on powerhouse was about to come out..

Friday, August 7th, 2009this surf film premieres in sf tomorrow at the skatepark, all girls getting sick on the stick and off the lip.. reminds me of my friend keith who used to say, “i hate surfer girls, but i love girls who surf..” this loosely translates to “no posers” which was and is words to live by. keith also used to say, “we’re barbeque-ing, but we’re not having a barbeque..” which loosely translates to “no kooks”… click here for more info..
