BURGUNA BEACH
solo mission to l.a. to take down the roadsoda show. shit a month went by already? i had a few days to kill and i got bored in l.a. so i went to s.d., but on the way i just had to stop by the town of my favorite tv show, laguna beach.
no one was there. it was beautiful. i swam and walked, swam some more and walked some more. quiet time with nature is alright.
i ran into civilization. i realized that these people may not be as comfortable as me in only soggy underwear and a camera around my neck. i watched some skimmers skim some and i made a u-turn.
and im out. peace laguna beach.
i made it to leucadia in time to watch the last log jam of the day.
that night at hong's house it was poker night.
2 tables going and on a call, hong busted out a deadly set of pocket boners.
the next day michoblack gave me an eye test and put new lenses in my frames.
his desk.
and damien and kay gave me a haircut with their new flo-bee. sick.
its back to l.a to handle some biz. first stop is albert's house. he had setups all over his house leftover from his halloween party, like this reaper on the roof.
he built an elaborate haunted house. it was a crawl through the maze style, and it was long.
this is the entrance. i went for it.
there was hardly any light. every now and then you could catch a glimpse of one of his paintings with light coming from radios, alarm clocks, and tv's.
it seemed to get tighter and tighter and darker as you crawled.
albert had post up spots where he'd pop put and make you poop your pants. it was rad.
we went and met up with aiyanna who was showing some of her drawings in a group show at bent. it was her, sandra, and 2 other girls i didnt know.
aiyanna made a drawing of cary elwes, the star of the movies "princess bride" and "robin hood: men in tights". this dude there was like, "yeah i know him," and we were like, "yeah right, how do you know him?"
turns out he's a bigtime director and made the movie "dummy", which is a movie that albert likes but ive never heard of. (i looked it up and it looks kinda good.) this is him greg pritikin, and albert fanning out and going on about how he should put us in his next movie. it was funny.
the next day i came home.
